Nominated to the Seanad by Charles Haughey in 1981. Member of Gang of Four who attempted to oust Haughey in September 1991. Member of Carlow County Council since 1979. Member Carlow UDC 1985-1998. Member Muinebheag Town Commission 1973-1985. Member of Oireachtas rugby team. Son of Tom Nolan TD 1965-1981, Minister for Labour 1980-81. | |
