Born Derry City November 1968. Single. Educated Carndonagh Community School, University of Ulster, Jordanstown (BMus, MPhil Research Masters, P.G.C.E. Music). Full-time Public Representative and former Music Teacher. First elected at by-election April 1996. Re-elected 1997 and at each subsequent election.

Appointed Chairperson Joint Committee on Arts, Sport, Tourism, Community Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs Oct 2002. Member British-Irish Inter-parliamentary Body. Replaced late father on Donegal County Council in 1995. Member North West Region Cross Border Group; Fisheries and Coastal Protection; Coiste; Magilligan Car Ferry. Member of U.U.J. All Ireland Intervarsities Equestrian Winning team and Ulster Camogie Championship Team. Daughter of Paddy Keaveney (Ind FF) TD 1976-1977.
