Thirtieth Amendment of the Constitution (Treaty on Stability, Coordination and Governance in the Economic and Monetary Union) Bill 2012
Polling for the referendum took place on Thursday 31 May 2012. On 5 September 2011 the minister appointed a Referendum Commission for the 29th amendment, as required by the Referendum Act 1998.
Thirtieth Amendment of the Constitution (Treaty on Stability, Coordination and Governance in the Economic and Monetary Union) Bill 2012 proposed to make the following changes to the Constitution:
- Article 29 of the Constitution is hereby amended as follows:
- the subsection, the text of which is set out in Part 1 of the Schedule, shall be inserted after subsection 9° of section 4 of the Irish text,
- the subsection, the text of which is set out in Part 2 of the Schedule, shall be inserted after subsection 9° of section 4 of the English text.

- The amendment of the Constitution effected by this Act
shall be called the Thirtieth Amendment of the Constitution.
- This Act may be cited as the Thirtieth Amendment of the
Constitution (Treaty on Stability, Coordination and Governance in
the Economic and Monetary Union) Act 2012.
